A New Orleans mom is defending her child's use of a gun after a dispute on a school bus.

"She was begin bullied, so that's why she pulled out a firearm," the 12-year-old girl's mom said in a social media post.

The woman says no one was stopping the bullying, so her daughter took action.

The majority of gun deaths, whether homicide or suicide, at that age can all be traced back to bullying. Granted, the percentage would plunge if guns were not available to pre-teens, but it’s well past time society learned to deal with bullying. Our leaders are not helping, as they are often the biggest bullies of all.

Clearly a case where it would be beneficial if people had to get a decent score on some proficiency testing before being allowed to procreate.

Yea, thinking twice about getting their own gun. Unfortunately, these things just escalate. It always starts between two children, then friends jump in, then all the aunties and uncles show up at school to beat down a child. I’ve seen it happen too many times.
