A 19-year-old who admitted to blackmail, revenge porn, and bullying

I'm not sure what case we're talking about. This guy obtained a naked photo of a girl and extorted her in hopes to get more, which he didn't so he distributed the photo to others. He's a bully, a creep, and a loser and a criminal in the making. One thing not: a pedophile.

Okay: Let's view this through a somewhat different lens: Would you take the same understanding tone if the victim had been a thirteen year old male, a smaller but "hot" classmate, and the sexual attraction took the form of gay attraction, followed by gay sexual assault, gay revenge porn, gay blackmail, and gay stalking?
None of these happened in our current example. Depending on a few nuances but I'd say it is the same. (I'm not a closet misogynist).

That said, it mainly takes testosterone to make a male. Understanding how testosterone affects the mind and taking responsibility for ones actions make a man. Men need good examples and some understanding too.

I'll expand on this: I'm not a woman and I shouldn't and won't pretend I've had the same experience. The best I can do are being a good role model for boys, though I'm not cool enough for that to matter anymore. And be a point of reference for my daughters, so they can know that a real man will not be less masculine by showing affection, pay attention to their mom, or admit when he's wrong and actually consistently be there (the toughest with my lifestyle...). On the other hand, this is where many women don't understand that expecting boys to just figure out how to be men is a fertile ground for toxic masculinity.

Fair enough.

Nevertheless, while he is not a pedophile, she is still an underage victim.
It's a fact. The way tech affects us always remind me of a few verses from Saul Williams' Coded Language:

"We do hereby declare reality unkempt by the changing standards of dialogue.
Statements, such as, "keep it real", especially when punctuating or
anticipating modes of ultra-violence inflicted psychologically or physically
or depicting an unchanging rule of events will hence forth be seen as
retro-active and not representative of the individually determined is.

Furthermore, as determined by the collective consciousness of this state of
being and the lessened distance between thought patterns and their secular
manifestations
, the role of men as listening receptacles is to be increased
by a number no less than 70 percent of the current enlisted as vocal
aggressors.

Equate rhyme with reason, Sun with season
Our cyclical relationship to phenomenon has encouraged scholars to erase the
centers of periods, thus symbolizing the non-linear character of cause and
effect;

Reject mediocrity!
Your current frequencies of understanding outweigh that which as been given for you to understand.
The current standard is the equivalent of an adolescent restricted to the diet of an infant.
The rapidly changing body would acquire dysfunctional and deformative
symptoms and could not properly mature on a diet of apple sauce and crushed peers.

Light years are interchangeable with years of living in darkness.
The role of darkness is not to be seen as, or equated with, Ignorance,
but with the unknown, and the mysteries of the unseen."

An underage victim is always an underage victim, irrespective of the age of the (alleged) perpetrator.

I'm not trying to diminish anything on the victim's side. I'm stating that they shouldn't leave the implication that the perpetrator was an adult.
