Oliva's husband, John Easterling, says she died peacefully at her ranch in Southern California Monday morning, surrounded by family and friends. Oliva has battled breast cancer for more than 30 years, a specific cause of death was not given, although a source close to Oliva told TMZ, "After a 30-year cancer journey, she lost her battle to metastatic breast cancer."

She was universally beloved and always positive, probably not a mean bone in her body.

Tears......This one really hurts. I knew that she had been battling the Big C for a long time but still, there always seems to be a bit of hope.....until there no longer is. So, so sad.

She leaves a wonderful legacy, though, and we are fortunate to be able to keep appreciating and enjoying her wonderful personality and her musical talents that she shared with the world.
