My wife and I just saw the show last Friday and were remarking on how good he looked compared to earlier this year.

I've watched nearly every day for most of my life, this is indeed sad news as in the most recent episodes he actually looked really good but he also survived it for longer than anyone had anticipated. He did what he loved all the way up until the end, was always such a consummate and objective host who lived a full life and gave us his all. RIP Alex, what a life.

Pancreatic cancer is so awful. I lost a family member to it a few years ago, and the end was really painful.
