Interesting, but I highly doubt this will be used on anything the majority of Americans want and good luck getting enough members of Congress to agree to use it. The site is often critical of Democrats, so it's kind of perplexing that they think every Democrat member wants to get money out of politics. In fact, I can think of 2 current high profile Democrats that are the poster children for keeping money in politics, even more so than any current Republican I can think of.
Mostly this is just another example of government processes that people think are written in stone and/or by the founding fathers and that isn't the case. If anything positive is coming out of Trumpism, it's that we are getting a lot deeper understanding of how our government works (and doesn't).
