Dinky and Milo

These are our kids, Dinky on the left (will take out your big toe is you get to close) and Milo on the right (will help you out with the couch if you rob us). Milo is also a rescue who was clearly abused in a past life so he needs a bit of extra attention but he's totally worth it. We've had Dinky since she was born and she pretty much runs the joint.

When we first got Milo (right) from the shelter one of the first things I noticed was that if I raised my hand with an object in it he would flinch and run away (don't get me started on how infuriating I find this) so I decided to work with him on it.

I first noticed it with a back scratcher so I just let him watch me use it, then I slowly moved it towards him and started scratching his back with it. He would almost freeze in panic but after a while he started getting more used to it, this took a long time but he eventually became more comfortable with it. Now when I pick it up he comes running.
