I've said this on other issues, but yet they expect us to fight to preserve this system we are in danger of losing. At some point the cons seem to start outweighing the pros. Sure, let's all rally around a system that keeps people like Trump unaccountable and out of jail while the average citizen chronically gets hosed and told it's all their fault.

I've said this on other issues, but yet they expect us to fight to preserve this system we are in danger of losing. At some point the cons seem to start outweighing the pros. Sure, let's all rally around a system that keeps people like Trump unaccountable and out of jail while the average citizen chronically gets hosed and told it's all their fault.

People make up the system. We see a situation like NY where a corrupt DA let the wealthy and powerful do whatever they want, presumably in exchange for something under the table. Bring in a new DA who doesn’t care about that, and suddenly we start to make progress against criminals such as Trump.

Our system isn’t as corrupt as many other countries, but it has more corruption than we generally admit.
