While I support their reporting, their general hostility towards others has become hard to watch for me. They often berate those they're interviewing and talk down to them, I've seen this for both Democrats and Republicans alike. I dislike how Chuck Todd plays politics but as an interviewer he always shows his guests respect.
wow. great to hear an opinion on this. appreciated hearing it.
the issue with all things trump admin is how to deal with their
lies.
you need to remember that it took a full 2 years before ANY of the major networks would even use the word "lie" to refer to r/trump lies.
Wolf is a little past shelf life.
i appreciate his career and thus i am respective of his longevity on the network.
to me, his abilities are as a news reporter first and only, not an analyst, not as some sort of investigative journalist.
haven't noticed disrespectful treating of guests. but could imagine he tries to stay relevant by his attempts to pummel guests on blatantly non-factual stances.
Chuck is worthless to anyone who has access to an iPhone with any news app.
should not have access to valuable MSNBC time. should stay on CNN or whatever else he is on.
he is able to get onto his show r and trump apologists. i want to hear their arguments but i can get them from news flashes.
Jake has gotten the courage to challenge and outright shut down lies he hears from guests.
i don't know what title he holds but to me he is an analyst/commentator and that's what i like.
he does try to inject sanity into discussions, and that's what you are picking up on
an analyst should never give guests a platform for lies.
my entire stance about (especially) CNN news is epitomised in the
Christiane Amanpour tag line:
‘I Believe in Being Truthful, Not Neutral"
the way that
Savannah challenged trump was
beautiful for me to see how a mainstream
and intelligent person can interact with a powerful man in a way that makes the issues real for the American people. she spoke truth to power.
as i said above, i think yr original post has a chance to become a general thread about Media and Reporting Coverage.
thanks.
