Unattractive women who “look like a thumb” shouldn’t complain about losing abortion rights because they’re the “least” likely to get pregnant, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) said in a jaw-dropping speech to college students at a conservative conference in Florida on Saturday.
“Have you watched these pro-abortion, pro-murder rallies?” Gaetz asked the crowd at the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit in Tampa. “The people are just disgusting. Why is it that the women with the least likelihood of getting pregnant are the ones most worried about having abortions?”

He seems to think this is a good thing. He is doubling down on it, insulting teenagers on Twitter, and gladly acknowledging his hateful statements in video interviews.

That’s ok, Matt and his cronies will pass into law a retroactive lowering of the legal age of consent, and make sex trafficking of minors a god-given right. We can also make it a crime to report any instance of abuse that doesn’t involve a conviction. Then he and Gym can win their elections in landslides, backed by the conservative right who thinks they’re doing the lord’s work.

The laws will only protect white, Christian conservative males. Accusations against democrats, gay or transgender folks, black or brown people or anyone who disagreed with Donald Trump that particular day will be subject to full prosecution under the old laws, however.
