The company, called Prekated Academy, offers what it refers to as a "full immersion” funeral in St. Petersburg in Russia where customers can be buried in a coffin for up to an hour.


Founded by Yakaterina Preobrazhenskaya, Prekated Academy says that following the burial, the team will help customers manage their “fears and anxieties”. The experience itself was referred to as a “true symbol of fighting for yourself and your own happy future” by the company.

Totally bizarre. Even for the Russians. Although I’m surprised it isn’t already a thing in the US and Europe.

I know some young parents who would pay top dollar for a chance to be in the dark and not bothered by their children for an hour. So there is that.
