I cannot recall the Catholic Church ever speaking out against the excesses of capitalist socioeconomic systems in the past, which is the major contributor to contemporary global and regional ecosystem failures. I mean, it is fine for Jorge to be saying this, but his balcony is not the ideal place from which to make these statements. It seems hypocritical.
