As much as I like the Snyder DCEU, I also admire the big-heartedness of the original "Superman". (And I was scared shitless by "The Omen".)

From the article, he sounds like he was a great guy. Rest in peace.

I was the perfect age to appreciate his Superman movie and I still remember all the TV trailers and posters proclaiming "You will believe a man can fly".

I was too young too watch "The Omen" though when it first came out but I do remember watching it years later at my grandparents house when it was on ITV at 10:30pm on a Monday evening. Scared the living shit out of me!

Another great film maker has wrapped.

Lethal Weapon 1 & 2, Goonies, Ladyhawke, some of my all time favorites.

If you get a chance, the Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut is pretty fun, basically he was pulled from the project, and it had a ton of rewrites/reshoots after he left, so this is his original vision is mostly restored, some missing production was completed (extra FX scenes, etc.)
