Just now breaking. I get that most here will not have anything good to say about him but I'm hoping we can remain civil and not celebrate his death just for a different political opinion than ours.

My first year in college (1992), I had 2 roommates in the dorm. One listened to Howard Stern to wake up in the morning. The other listened to Rush Limbaugh when they did homework. Interesting being between the two. I remember callers to the show saying “ditto” a lot and that he advertised Snapple constantly. He certainly had a long career.

Just since the election a few months ago...
  • Trump failed every court attempt to overthrow the election
  • He got his social media toys taken away from him
  • An insurrection in his name failed and traitors will be tried
  • Joe Biden got inaugurated
  • Despite being impeached a second time but not convicted, Trump suffered a 57-43 decision at his trial
  • Even Mitch McConnell has criticized Trump
  • Dr. Fauci is smiling again
  • Vaccinations are finally getting organized
  • Trump Hotel & Casino was imploded
  • And now Rush Limbaugh’s lies have been silenced
If you’re a Republican this must feel like hell.

Or like one of those comedy movies where the well-deserving bad guy gets kicked out by his wife, falls down some stairs, gets hit by lightning and ends up living on the street...where a piano falls on him.

I have just read a tweet on Twitter which commented (and I paraphrase): "if you cannot find anything good to say about Rush Limbaugh, maybe it is because there is nothing good to say about Rush Limbaugh."

But didn't they win?

We can NEVER take back that the worst president in US history gave that guy a medal.

If anything it remains a permanent reminder of where we were at that time. The worst president ever, celebrated the life of a terrible human being.

His biggest regret was probably Trump not gaining power sooner, when blatant lies and conspiracy theories got normalized as fact. Trump was a real gift to right wing trolls and doubling down on ignorance.
