I was very tempted to attend this in person (since the Computer History Museum is nearby), but it was hard to turn down the ability to attend for free by Zoom.

If you’re interested, there is a link to the CHM in the story, and you need to pre-register for the zoom,

Interesting. I recalled things a bit differently, but loved my Palm IIIxe for years until the iPhone came out. Handspring and Palm were the same guys. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palm,_Inc.#Palm_Computing

My wife had two of the Qualcomm models, both with keyboards, and loved them to death.

I had that qualcomm, then the samsung palm flip phone, then the palm/handspring stuff, before iPhone.

Had a palm/handspring and was obsessed with it. A coworker and good friend got me into it and we'd swapped stories about our uses. Then I totally forgot about it just as quickly. He got a Palm Pilot and thought it was the business.
