The Kraken fallout continues

And the latest is that the courts have ruled that her star "super witnesses" will no longer have their identies sealed.

For those who've lost track, one her key witnesses was Codename "Spyder", and the original request to seal his identity was part of Powell's MI 'Kraken' lawsuit late last November:

One of the witnesses, who is testifying about his analysis of hostile foreign power cyber penetration of Dominion Voting Systems servers and networks, is already subject to serious threats of harm because of the highly sensitive nature of his regular professional work and is in particular need of protection.

These witnesses have shown great courage in coming forward at a critical moment to deliver the truth to the Court about matters of great importance to our country. They should be protected from the readily foreseeable harms that would accrue to them if their identities were made public. Thus, good cause exists for the relief requested.

It didn't take too long before most of us found out the identity of Codename "Spyder": 43 year old Joshua Merritt, an ex army truck mechanic whose sole experience in anything even remotely associated with the word "security" was from 15 years ago, serving in the 305th Military Intelligence Battalion training program for a few months before he flunked out.

So, what did Powell claim the failed ex army truck mechanic have to say about the 2020 election?

In my professional opinion, this affidavit presents unambiguous evidence that Dominion Voter Systems and Edison Research have been accessible and were certainly compromised by rogue actors, such as Iran and China. By using servers and employees connected with rogue actors and hostile foreign influences combined with numerous easily discoverable leaked credentials, these organizations neglectfully allowed foreign adversaries to access data and intentionally provided access to their infrastructure in order to monitor and manipulate elections, including the most recent one in 2020. This represents a complete failure of their duty to provide basic cyber security. This is not a technological issue, but rather a governance and basic security issue: if it is not corrected, future elections in the United States and beyond will not be secure and citizens will not have confidence in the results.

Merritt himself has tried to distance himself from the whole debacle. When attempting to explain why he was being labeled a security expert, he blamed the Powell's legal clerks:

That was one thing I was trying to backtrack on. My original paperwork that I sent in didn’t say that.

He further went on to say that claims that Powell's team made about his security credentials were "specious".

So, whilst we've all known about Merrit's identity, the fact the courts have ruled that he's essentially a nobody with zero actual evidence about the election: his existence, his alleged claims about the election and, most importantly, how Powell's law firm knew that he had zero credibility and even less knowledge about the issue at hand, have further strengthened the case against Powell et al.

Payback is, as they say, a bitch.
