Was on the freeway the other day and beside me rolled up a new yellow corvette with giant Pikachu decals on the doors. It was a young guy behind the wheel. Living in the Silicon Valley I’m used to seeing high end cars on the road all the time but this was a whole new level. I instantly thought of all the poverty and wealth inequality and this guy has the money to deface a new sports car which I am sure isn’t his only extravagant purchase. He’s just zipping by the countless homeless camps in his top-shelf douche canoe.
