Love all that stuff. Vids of walking in the rain in cities had me hooked for awhile. Watch with headphones and doze off. I’m weird.

I'd like to know what kind of racket YouTube is running if they are...
I've been working on learning the Unreal Engine, and I watched
part of the Quixel Mixer for Dummies Complete Beginners Guide to Quixel Mixer, I place a comment that the video was out of date (which it is). The stuff the video showed is not the stuff, you see when you try to follow along getting started.
So I went to the Mixer online manual and it cleared everything up that was wrong with the video and which made it very apparent the video is out of date.
So I made a comment saying, "The video is out of date as far as how Quixel Mixer works today for setup. This is not a suggestion to not watch this, but it would help to cross reference with the Mixer online manual to avoid confusion for anyone new to this."
I went back 20 minutes later and apparently (I'll assume) the author of the video removed the comment, without comment, just whoosh. I then gave the video a dislike and put on another comment that the author apparently does not like anyone being advised that his tutorial is out of date. I'm sure he'll remove that too, but if you are not harassing him, it seems to me that YouTube is doing a disservice to people watching videos there if the author of the video can remove any comment he does not like... comments are made to benefit other viewers, at least in my mind, if that is indeed what happened (the author removed it).

our ride on a local path one of the first videos I have done.

this one I finally got done after my Mac crashed.
Finally got a video of this great cemetery ride. as you see all uphill I think the steepest part is about 16% I was freaked out when google directed us to this the first time. but they have bike lanes and its the most practical way over the hill. a lot of great views from it of the sellwood bridge and the Willamette river. this is Riverview cemetery. no clue why the woman were jogging in place.

a ride the wife and I did that went along the Columbia river and some sloughs and such. the sandy river meets the Columbia there too. small planes coming and going from the troutdale airport it was about 95 while we were doing this got above 98 on the roads coming home.
It's the authors content and channel, it's their discretion in terms of curating comments. YT simply provides the platform (and really only step in if there's questionable content, porn, racist, etc.)
Buyer beware, no accountability, sounds familiar. The idea that you can have a flaw in or misrepresent your product, or be talking out your ass, or leave up an out of date instructional video with with zero accountability, and the means to smother ligitinate critiques and comments, that’s just wonderful.
