A restaurant is being ordered to pay 35 employees $4000 each in compensation for hiring a man to pretend to be a priest to hear their confessions, so that management could collect dirt on the workers.

No word on whether the fake priest was charged with, say, fraud or something.

Meanwhile, in another shining example good company relations, an auto repair shop owner was apparently unhappy with a former employee, so,

he f'd around and found out, as they say.

This is the most bizarre and roundabout method to find out what’s going on in your small business. Perhaps trying fostering an environment and personal relationships with your employees where they feel they can be honest with you. If it’s a matter of employee theft of something along those lines, there are easier ways to handle this. I believe you can buy these things called security cameras for essentially a negligible amount of money… and can pay for themselves between solving/preventing problems and lower insurance premiums.
