Seeing a lot of people bust on him online and IMO it's in poor taste, how many of us are out there stumping while in our 80s. Hoping for a speedy recovery so we can get back to disagreeing on policies.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was hospitalized late Wednesday after a fall, according to a spokesperson for the senator.

David Popp, the Kentucky Republican’s communications director, said in a statement: “This evening, Leader McConnell tripped at a local hotel during a private dinner. He has been admitted to the hospital where he is receiving treatment.”

No further word on his condition was immediately available.

McConnell, who turned 81 on Feb. 20, is the longest-serving Senate leader in American history.

The dude worked real hard to try and take away universal health care so that other people who fall down and get concussions wouldn’t be able to get the good medical care he gets as a rich senator.

The inability to pay for healthcare is the number one cause of bankruptcy in the United States.

Father-in-law is almost 80 and just fell last week, looked like he just got done with boxing match, two black eyes and a fractured spine. Once you get that that age it doesn't take much.

Medical care for Senate and House members is pretty gold-plated, including access to Walter Reed and the Bethesda Naval Medical Center.

"This fall while members of Congress toil in the U.S. Capitol, working to decide how or even whether to reform the country's health care system, one floor below them an elaborate Navy medical clinic -- described by those who have seen it as something akin to a modern community hospital -- will be standing by, on-call and ready to provide Congress with some of the country's best and most efficient government-run health care."

McConnell actively worked to take away healthcare for millions. He and his party didn't offer any substantial alternative to the ACA.

Not saying it excuses the behavior, but I’m fairly confident some politicians periodically ignored their own Covid mandates because they know they have that sweet illuminati healthcare.
