Profound statement about systemic change

Something I heard recently that can be applied to what’s going on around the globe and in Israel currently.

Every major systemic change will include a level of violence from those who stand to have less power in the new system, but that completely ignores the even higher level of violence required to maintain the status quo from police brutality to regional wars.
