But I can tell you that taking down misinformation is not applied equally to both sides. The left can put out any misinformation they want and the socials won't do anything about it.
The idea that social media only goes after the right is a meme, with no basis in reality. Twitter bans trans democrats, liberals, socialists, LGBTQ people, for violating their TOS about as often as they do conservatives.
At the end of the day, these companies don't give a damn about politics. They want to keep things down to a low roar to insure they continue making money off of everyone involved without any unnecessary interference or hurt feelings.
The only difference is that conservatives have turned their bans into a way to whip up some fervor. They make a death threat, say something that might offend some of their advertisers, then portray themselves as being the victims of the secret socialist deep state when they get banned. I can't blame them for doing it, because good god, it's been spectacularly effective. But it's all still bullshit.
When your entire political platform is to go out of your way to make things as unpleasant as possible for people you don't like, you really shouldn't act all offended and surprised yourself when you get clapback.
...and by you, I don't mean you specifically. I'm using the royal "you" here.
