That is all.
As they say on TV: but wait, there’s more!

Gaetz, the brash Republican, liked to discuss politics, said one of the women. He behaved like a "frat type of party boy," she said, sometimes taking pills she believed were recreational drugs.

This just keeps getting better.

If a party host requires you to hand over your cellphone before entering in order to stop anyone from documenting what’s about to take place, it’s not usually a sign of an imminent wholesome evening. But, according to women who say they frequently partied with Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) over the past two years, that was just part of the normal routine.

Two women have spoken out about their experiences of the parties, which they say were typically packed with Republican officials. Speaking to CNN, they described evenings fueled by Champagne, drugs, and sex—sometimes followed by digital payments being wired to them the morning after.

What would we expect of a guy like Gaetz who still serves as a tout for a former President the GOP embraced and the country then elected despite the Hollywood Access tape? As a country, almost half of us shrugged in 2016 and said "So..?" for whatever combination of reasons, and enough of those voters were in the right states to put Trump into office.

So... but as of 2020, Trump's a former prez, and as for Gaetz and his ilk... it's up to the GOP if they want to continue to tolerate the behavior of some of the people that Trump attracted into politics. Of course if they had half a brain, Gaetz would resign. But they show no evidence of having half a brain left, after excusing even Trump himself all this time for anything and everything.

Apparently not only the GOP but most of the USA now wish for a rapid fade of our memories of a bunch of Republican Congressmen shredding the Constitution while trying to enable the overthrow of an election. Not only the GOP leadership but many plain citizens really seem to want to move on past the evidence of that severe threat to our democracy rumbling to the surface back in January.

So, many eyes are averted as the Biden DOJ persists in addressing those matters. Personally I rejoice at the karma of the GOP having blocked Merrick Garland from a seat on the Supreme Court, but now facing him in a singularly powerful position to show the Republican Party exactly what enforcement of "law and order" means under the Constitution of the United States of America.

Meanwhile, allegations of paid sex with a minor are just the ticket!! The shame! The shock! The distraction! Jesus wept!

So... Gaetz might discover that Congress is willing to throw him out the doors just to make a point that there's a limit. It's not the limit we might once have expected, since there are 147 or so seditious Congress critters still sitting under that dome, but hey, this is America where we cut to the chase and expedite the semblance of justice for all, post haste, for the good of the nation.
